Georgian Kvevri Saperavi wine, an emblem of tradition, undergoes traditional vinification. Saperavi grapes are crushed and fermented with their skins, seeds, and stems in buried clay vessels called kvevri. This ancient method allows for extended skin contact, fostering robust flavors, deep color, and structured tannins. The wine matures in the kvevri, benefiting from natural micro-oxygenation. Minimal intervention preserves the grape’s intrinsic characteristics, yielding a wine with a distinctive dark hue, bold tannins, and complex aromas. This process honors the rich winemaking heritage of Georgia, capturing the essence of the Saperavi grape and the terroir of the region.
