Georgian Kvevri Rkatsiteli (Tsarapi) wine is a profound expression of Kakheti’s ancient heritage. Harvested in September 2024, the grapes undergo full vinification in buried clay vessels known as qvevri. With six months of skin contact, the wine gains a deep amber color, layered tannins, and remarkable complexity. The long maceration extracts intensity from skins, seeds, and stems, shaping a structured yet elegant profile. Remaining in qvevri for maturation, the wine develops through natural micro-oxygenation, enhancing balance and depth. Minimal intervention preserves authenticity, yielding a dry amber wine with notes of dried fruit, nuts, subtle spice, and a persistent finish. This traditional method celebrates both the resilience of the Rkatsiteli grape and Georgia’s enduring winemaking culture.
